Maintenance Technician

FT 10am-6pm

Summary:

Maintain the general cleanliness and repair of The Guild School facilities, grounds, equipment and vehicles under the direction/supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor

Primary

Job Responsibilities:

* Be prepared to handle emergency breakdowns, for example, plumbing or heating failures, etc.

* Maintain neat and orderly supply rooms

* Keep supply inventory records

* Perform minor repairs, as directed, for example, broken windows, doors and equipment; painting, grounds keeping and minor carpentry work as directed by the Director of Facilities and Equipment; maintain the cleanliness and safe operational capacity of Guild vehicles and equipment.

* Ability to appropriately use small tools and equipment

Essential Job Functions:

* Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job including some weekends, holidays and inclement weather situations

* Proficiency in written and spoken English is an essential function of the job.

* Physically able to perform lifting and related tasks required of the position

Qualifications

* Training and experience is general custodial maintenance duties

* Interest in and ability to relate positively with multiple-handicapped adolescents in school setting.

* Valid Driver's license
