Reporting to the Nurse Manager, Medical Surgical Nursing Unit, the Lead Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role in ensuring high quality patient care within the acute care setting. This position provides direct patient care and serves as a resource for PCT's and nursing staff. The lead PCT supports a unit with medically complex patients, including those requiring telemetry monitoring, EKG's, Falls precautions and Pressure Injury prevention.
This individual will also take a leadership role in optimizing workflows, ensuring best practices in patient care, be an active member of the UBC and fostering teamwork across the unit. All Lead PCT responsibilities are performed under the supervision of the MS Registered Nurse.
- Education
:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. - Experience
: 3 years of acute care hospital experience preferred. - Licensure and/or Certification
: BLS healthcare provider required. - Skills
