Breast Health Patient Navigator

Reporting to the Administrative Director and Physician and supervised by the Practice Manager. The Breast Health Patient Navigator-Surgical Scheduler is responsible for coordinating all aspects of breast health patient care. Assists the physicians and Mid-Level providers as needed. Assures Patient Experience protocols are followed.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience:
  
  3-5 years’ experience working as a navigator or surgical scheduler in a clinical setting.
• Licensure and/or Certification:
  Graduate of a Medical Assistant/Secretary program preferred.
• Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and moderate keyboarding is required. Knowledge of EPIC and Meditech electronic medical records preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with strong ability to multi-task required.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
  • Knowledge of patient billing, prior authorizations, account processes, third party billing and revenue cycle preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential information required.
