The City of Gloucester is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to serve as the FOG & Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP) Coordinator. This position is responsible for administering and enforcing the City’s Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) and Industrial Pretreatment Programs in compliance with Gloucester’s Code of Ordinances, Chapter 23, Article II, Massachusetts 314 CMR 12.00 and 16.00, and applicable federal EPA pretreatment regulations (40 CFR Part 403).
The role balances field work (inspections, sampling, evidence collection, safety) with office productivity (tracking, file management, reporting, follow-up actions). Reporting to the Environmental Engineer, the Coordinator oversees permit administration, inspections, compliance monitoring, and regulatory reporting while ensuring protection of Gloucester’s wastewater infrastructure and the environment.
- Administer and enforce the City’s FOG and Industrial Pretreatment Programs in compliance with applicable regulations and ordinances.
- Balance field work (inspections, sampling, evidence collection, safety) with office duties (tracking, file management, reporting, follow-up actions).

Salary range is $72,035.05 - $89,566.53 per year based on qualifications and experience. The salary is commensurate with related municipal experience.
