General Maintenance Worker – PCI Federal
Government Contractor is interviewing for a Part‑time General Maintenance Worker (GMW) in the Concord area.
Base Pay: $31.00/hr – $31.00/hr.
Responsibilities- Maintain building facilities: door/window repairs, plumbing fixture maintenance/repair, fence lines, water containment systems, interior/exterior lighting components.
- Assist in service order work completion on facility buildings, systems and grounds as required.
- Use tablet to maintain records, daily logs and prepare reports pertaining to daily/monthly PM inspections, assigned work orders, and assist with applicable changes.
- Identify and coordinate work of outside contractors in support of the facility, as directed by the Regional Operations Manager.
- Follow Company Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies, including utilization of all required, company supplied PPE.
- Assist with associated tasks in conjunction with building operations, grounds or as directed.
- General knowledge of mechanical operations, maintenance and repair of commercial/industrial equipment.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems related to equipment in the assigned work area.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations (OSHA 10) – preferred.
- Effectively and safely operates hand tools, pneumatic tools, air compressors and other small equipment related to the maintenance trades.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Additional trade‑specific courses – preferred.
- Three (3) years’ experience in the maintenance field – preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Pass drug screening and background checks.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Clearance.
- Schedule:
20‑30 hours per week with standard government working hours. - Indoor/outdoor work in seasonal heat and cold or other adverse weather conditions; exposure to fumes, dust and odors.
- Some high noise levels from operations of equipment rooms/areas.
- Physically able to complete necessary tasks related to the maintenance of equipment.
- May be required to work after normal hours for on‑call assignments.
- Rate: $30.52/hr.
- Health & Welfare: $4.93/hr up to 40 hours per week.
