Mercy Hospice RN – Evening/Night Shift
Find your calling at Mercy! The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing skilled professional nursing care to assigned terminally ill patients in their place of residence, as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with the standards of the nursing.
Position Details:
Community‑Based Float Nurse - St Louis, Hospice RN – Evening/Night Shift (Mon–Thu), 40 hours per week. Shift: 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM.
What to ExpectPrimary Hours of Activity:
Most patient visits occur between 4:30 PM and 10:00 PM.
Overnight Coverage:
From 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, workload is lighter and consists mainly of urgent needs.
- Full Time (40 hrs. per week), Evenings/Nights
- Evening and Night Differential
- Gas Mileage Offered - $0.70/mile, subject to change per Federal Reimbursement Rate

- Required:
nursing degree from an accredited school - Must be a licensed driver
- Current RN license in the state of Missouri
- BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association required
- Recent hospice or long term care experience preferred
- Experience with issues related to death/dying and bereavement preferred
