PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN (as needed) Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. We offer competitive pay and the flexibility of working on an as-needed basis in a supportive environment.

Rate: Starting at $50 per hour.

Under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PRN Physical Therapist Assistant will assist with patient‑related activities and provide direct patient care. This role is crucial in helping our residents regain mobility, manage pain, and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

• Administer physical therapy treatments and procedures as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Document daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and other required records accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with state regulations.
• Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of the therapy department and equipment.
• Participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences as needed.
• Train restorative aides in the nursing department as instructed.
• Communicate effectively with the Physical Therapist, supervisor, and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress, concerns, and treatment plans.
• Educate patients, their families, and nursing staff on at‑home maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for discharge.
• Report any issues with departmental equipment to ensure it remains in good working order.
• Maintain a positive, effective, and professional rapport with patients, residents, families, and colleagues.

• Active and current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of California.
