The Construction Management Group is growing! In response to the steady growth of our team in the West Region (Arizona, California, Washington) GHD is looking for a Construction Manager Lead with proven on time and budget delivery capabilities. This position can be located in San Francisco, Oakland, or Concord, CA
. You will provide construction phase support services to new and existing clients on multiple simultaneous projects with a construction value of up to $10 M each.

• Construction Management for water, transportation, coastal, environmental, and energy projects throughout the region, including planning, permitting, design, and procurement.
• Identify business development opportunities and lead procurement efforts, including proposal and interview preparation.
• Contribute to design and creation of reporting strategies and templates; lead execution of complex reports, interpreting patterns and trends, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
• Provide specialist professional advice on construction regulations and best practice for complex maintenance, alteration, and construction of buildings.
• Develop, deliver, and manage budget plans for standard construction projects; monitor and perform budget progress and post‑calculations.
• Develop policies and processes, create best practices, set up case studies, and deliver internal knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Act as subject‑matter expert in technology, policy, regulation, or operational management; maintain external accreditations and stay current through professional development.
• Conduct complex feasibility studies on bid solicitation, including RFP and RFT requirements; write specifications for tenders.
• Monitor and review performance and behaviors to identify and resolve non‑compliance with policies and regulatory codes.
• Manage important client relationships with guidance from senior colleagues.

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of education and management experience.

• Minimum 15 years of experience as Construction Manager and/or Resident Engineer on multiple simultaneous construction projects.
• Current Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• CCM certification a plus.
• Experience with web‑based document management systems.

Salary Range: $150,000–$250,000 based on location and experience.
