Our leading nonprofit client in Concord is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve students in grades K–8 in a nonpublic school setting. You will develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs), provide academic and behavioral support, and promote student growth through project-based learning.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
Deliver small-group and individualized instruction
Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to diverse learning styles
Track and report academic and behavioral progress
Collaborate with BCBAs, behavior staff, and parents
Lead students through hands-on, project-based learning activities
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Participate in IEP meetings and school-wide initiatives
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
Valid California Special Education Credential or CDE-approved equivalent
Experience working with K–8 students with disabilities required
Strong understanding of special education law and instructional adaptation
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
