Transdev is actively seeking a transportation dispatcher for their Paratransit service in the Concord area. We are looking for qualified dispatchers who can provide excellent customer service to passengers and drivers.

Pay: $19.60 - $23.89 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale). Starting pay $19.60 with progression to $23.89 over 5 years.

• Vacation: up to 14 days per year
• Sick days: 5 days
• Holidays: 8 days (6 standard, 2 floating)

• Answer customer calls and input all trip requests using a computerized scheduling system.
• Provide accurate responses to callers’ questions about schedules, trips and other questions.
• Accurately schedule trips through specialized software in accordance with ADA provisions and company requirements.
• Provide transit information to passengers.
• Monitor call wait time and number of calls in queue.
• Enter new customer information or changes into the system.
• Follow company rules, regulations, instructions of management.
• Adhere to ADA regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of passenger information.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

• One to two years of dispatch and/or customer service experience preferred.

• Ability to organize logical and efficient schedules and routes and adapt to changes.
• Ability to read, comprehend and understand a map.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret transit system operating rules, regulations, policies.
• Assist handicapped passengers when needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Clear speech and pleasant phone demeanor.
• Use multi-line phone system and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Will be cross trained as Reservations for coverage purposes.

• Must work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
• Work is primarily indoors, in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
• Work in an office or cubicle with telephone and computer.
• Prolonged periods sitting, typing, or looking at the screen.
