Senior Project Manager – Heavy Civil & Environmental Construction

Concord, CA

With 170+ employees, a large owned equipment fleet, and $125M bonding capacity, we take on complex, meaningful projects that make a real environmental impact.

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead high‑profile environmental and heavy civil projects from start to finish.

• Lead preconstruction: job setup, subcontracting, vendor buyouts, scheduling, and submittals.
• Drive project execution: manage scope, budget, cost tracking, and change orders.
• Serve as the main client contact and ensure smooth communication across teams.
• Manage and mentor Superintendents, Foremen, and project staff.
• Build strong client and partner relationships.
• Conduct project closeouts and lessons learned reviews.
• Own the success of your projects—schedule, budget, quality, and safety.

• 5+ years’ experience in construction project management (environmental experience is a plus).
• Strong understanding of heavy civil construction means and methods.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and solve problems in dynamic field conditions.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project needs.
• Familiarity with project management software (B2W, Viewpoint, Heavy Job/Bid) is helpful—training available.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; HAZWOPER a plus (or training provided).

• Mix of office and field work around active construction sites and heavy equipment.
• Ability to walk uneven terrain, climb ladders/stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Requires field presence in various weather conditions.
• Must be safety‑focused and able to recognize and respond to safety signals.
