About the OpportunityIn this role, you’ll work as an early member of Worldly’s Account Executive team to help expand our client acquisition efforts. Through our longstanding partnership with Cascale, Worldly is deeply entrenched in the apparel and footwear industry. Our flagship product, the Higg Index, is the industry standard for supply chain sustainability reporting. This is unique in the global sustainability landscape. Few, if any, other industries have aligned around a singular standard.
But a large proportion of the industry has not yet begun this supplier engagement work. That presents a huge opportunity. Your job will be to evangelize the importance of supplier engagement for sustainability impact reduction and sourcing risk mitigation, and advocate for the Higg Index industry standard as the natural solution to these problems.
As the Higg Index rapidly expands, manufacturers of all sorts of products are adopting the tool. That presents another huge opportunity to align new industries on the Higg Index standard. We have conducted extensive research to confirm that these audiences have a need for the solutions we provide, and are currently underserved by alternatives. We are looking for a savvy seller to turn this opportunity into real traction.
What You’ll DoStrategy
- Achieve revenue targets. This is a quota-carrying role. The more you sell, the more you earn.
- Build relationships. Relentlessly. Often from scratch. Use every tactic available to connect with prospects and inform them of the value we can bring to their business.
- Evangelize. We have a proven message that resonates in our core industry. But with new territory comes new tactics. We are looking for someone endlessly experimental, with a genuine belief and passion for the solutions we provide. Your challenge will be to inspire others to share in that belief.
- Learn, fast. Develop and maintain an expertise in the Worldly suite of solutions, corporate sustainability best practices, and evolving industry regulations.
- Maintain a meticulously well‑organized pipeline of sales opportunities, diligently tracking deal dynamics, and strategically progressing towards a mutually beneficial outcome. You should care about sales process, with a bias for action and a sense of ownership on each opportunity.
- Collaborate. Work seamlessly with all internal departments to improve the efficiency of your own work and to diligently find solutions for client/prospect problems.
- Ideate. You will be the eyes and ears of the company in unfamiliar territory. You will be expected to document the needs of your prospects and liaise with Worldly R&D teams to make sure the demands of the market are reflected in our product roadmap.
The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
- Experience carrying a quota. This role is accountable to outcomes.
- 5+ years of experience selling something, anything. The bigger and more complex the transaction, the more relevant. Experience in a technology/SaaS organization or related context is preferred.
