Operational Accounting Assistant
Location: Concord, CA (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (Training hours for first 2 weeks: 9:00 AM-5:30 PM)
Assignment Length: 4 months (with potential extension)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Operational Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting and transaction research activities in a fast-paced office environment. This role is ideal for early-career accounting or data-focused candidates who thrive in multitasking environments and are comfortable navigating multiple screens and applications.
Key Responsibilities- Research and validate financial transactions across multiple internal systems
- Accurately input and update basic accounting and financial information
- Utilize several applications and dual/multi-screen setups to review and reconcile data
- Perform posting of accounts and offsets
- Support operational accounting functions as needed
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting support, data entry, or financial operations
- Excellent typing skills and strong 10-key proficiency
- Ability to work and toggle efficiently across multiple screens and applications
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail and research skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Previous banking experience is strongly preferred
- Experience as an Accounting Assistant, Data Analyst, Junior Data Analyst, or Financial Data Analyst
- Familiarity with transactional research workflows
- 100% onsite role in a professional office environment
- Standard business hours Monday-Friday

This is a Contract position based out of Concord, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
