Junior Accounting Analyst

Description

Are you an analytical, Excel-savvy accounting professional looking to grow your career? We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accounting Analyst to support cash applications, lockbox processing, and daily reconciliations for a fast-paced accounting team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants hands-on experience and room for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Apply daily customer payments (ACH, wire, check, credit card)

+ Process and reconcile lockbox activity

+ Perform daily cash reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

+ Research and resolve unapplied cash and short payments

+ Assist with AR aging review and collections support

+ Prepare and maintain Excel reports (cash logs, reconciliation summaries, trend analysis)

+ Support month-end close related to cash and AR

+ Collaborate cross-functionally with billing and customer service teams

Requirements

+ 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience

+ Strong cash applications and reconciliation experience

+ Lockbox processing experience required

+ Advanced proficiency in

+ Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas required)

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

+ High attention to detail and accuracy

+ Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
