Machine Shop Manager

Guidex Group is seeking a highly experienced Machine Shop Manager on behalf of our client, a precision manufacturing company. This is a Direct Hire Opportunity, and the ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in CNC programming, setup, and operations, combined with proven leadership skills to drive production efficiency and team success.

Seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Shop Manager to lead our team. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of experience in CNC and milling machine programming, setup, and operation—with strong working knowledge of SRFCAM and other CAM systems.

• Manage day-to-day operations of the machine shop to meet production goals
• Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Train, supervise, and lead a team of machinists
• Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards
• Oversee machine maintenance schedules and troubleshoot issues

• Minimum 10 years of experience in CNC/milling machine setup and programming
• Advanced proficiency in SRFCAM; experience with other CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) a plus
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Excellent blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
• Solid problem-solving and production planning abilities
• Knowledge of tooling, speeds/feeds, and material characteristics
