Sr. Systems Dev Ops IT Engineer – First Century Bank

First Century Bank is looking for a full-time Sr. Systems Dev Ops IT Engineer to join a growing team from our Commerce, Georgia location. First Century Bank has distinguished itself by providing specialized financial services through technology channels for our clients. This role is fast-paced and will have a direct impact on the Bank's ability to deliver our technology enabled fintech programs and products.

This is a hybrid role combining Dev Ops engineering (70%), database administration (20%), and systems administration (10%) for FCB's Fin Tech environment. This individual will be responsible for automating infrastructure, managing SQL Server environments, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Primary Responsibilities (70% - Dev Ops Engineering)

• Automate file and workflow processes, validation, monitoring and tracking
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops and automation tools
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Power Shell DSC
• Automate deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning
• Monitor system performance and implement alerting strategies
• Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and post-mortem analysis
• Ensure security and compliance throughout development lifecycle

• Database Administration (20% - SQL DBA)

• Manage SQL Server 2019/2022 production/development environments
• Implement and maintain Always On Availability Groups
• Perform database performance tuning and query optimization
• Design and test backup/recovery procedures (RPO/RTO requirements)
• Support database migrations and schema change management
• Ensure compliance with SOX and financial data regulations

• Systems Administration (10% - Infrastructure Support)

• Maintain Windows/Linux server infrastructure
• Implement security patches and system updates
• Support capacity planning and scaling initiatives
• Manage Active Directory and authentication systems
• Assist the IT Department in various ad-hoc and/or special projects and perform duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in computer science or related experience plus 7 to 10 years of relevant experience. Ideal candidates would also have expert level scripting and automation (Windows Power Shell 5.1+), 3+ years of SQL Server database administration, experience with Azure or AWS;
Proficiency with Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub, or Git Lab CI/CD;
Terraform, ARM templates, or Cloud Formation;
Git workflow and branching strategies. Required technical skills include: scripting (Power Shell, Python, or Ansible), databases (SQL Server administration, T-SQL), containerization (Docker and Kubernetes deployment/management), monitoring (experience with Datadog, New Relic or Prometheus/Grafana), security (network security/encryption), and documentation. Preferred candidates may also have Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400, DP-300) or AWS equivalents, Fin Tech experience, knowledge of SOX, PCI-DSS compliance, Advanced Automation (Power Shell DSC, Pester testing framework), and experience with dbatools Power Shell module.
