Warehouse Delivery Driver

Description

A local wholesaler and distributor has an immediate opening for a delivery driver. Candidates must have a valid California driver's license and a clean 36 month MVR report.

• Unloading and delivering pallets of products to customers throughout So Cal
• Accurately pull orders and count product received
• Operate a forklift when needed
• Responsible for maintaining an organized, clean and safe warehouse environment. Adhere to laws requiring warehouse safety protocols as well as company standards
• Inventory Control
• Ensure product is located in appropriate locations
• Report any product damages, loss or unsellable conditions to management team
• Handle merchandise with care to ensure it arrives at the store in the best possible condition
• Communicate with team members in different departments regarding situations that arise related to their accounts inventory or orders
• Provide excellent customer service on the phone and during delivery

• Valid California driver's license and clean driving record with a clean 36 month MVR report
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience in the delivery or warehouse / distribution business
• Ability to work cohesively with team members and communicate in a positive and courteous manner to others, and uphold the company standards of a safe and friendly work environment
• Candidate is expected to provide excellent customer service
• Ability to meet delivery appointment deadlines
• Communicate with customer personally in a professional and courteous manner
• Willing to assist to address any concerns brought up by a customer

• Second language a plus
• Experience operating a forklift and manual / electric pallet jacks
• Previous experience driving a Bobtail truck or Cargo Van
• Vast knowledge of the California area as well as surrounding cities

• Able to lift, move and carry objects up to 75 lbs
• Able to work early morning hours
• Able to work in temp control environment (~ 55 degrees)
• Able to operate a vehicle during various weather and road conditions for extended periods of time throughout the working day

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
