Flavor Technologist; 1st Shift

Our client, a leading player in the food industry, is seeking a RD&A Technologist - Flavor Technologist to join their team. As a RD&A Technologist, you will be part of the Research, Development, and Application (RD&A) department supporting innovative flavor solutions. The ideal candidate will have scientific curiosity, excellent time management skills, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Commerce, CA

Pay Range
: $24-$27/hr.

Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday to Friday)

What's the Job?

• Accurately pour and weigh all ingredients specified in formulation, ensuring accuracy of code numbers and descriptions.
• Assist Flavorists in creating value-added Taste products utilizing innovative technologies.
• Organize and prepare samples for tasting sessions with Flavorist and application team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D technologists and project managers.
• Ensure efficient experiments throughput by maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor of Science in chemistry or food science.
• 3-5 years of experience working in the food industry or lab environment.
• Familiarity with experimental design and standard laboratory data logging.
• Ability to taste and smell flavor ingredients, flavors, and food products.
• Excellent computer skills and a sound background in good laboratory practices.
