Qualifications
Must have:
Bachelors degree in Public/Business Administration, Accounting, Management, Finance, or a related field is required;
Minimum of three years experience in management analysis, auditing, budgeting, accounting, or a related area;
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered;
Must obtain FEMAs NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 level training within twelve months of hire and maintain these certifications;
Valid drivers license required;
Masters degree is preferred.
- Create the annual operating budget for the department, analyzing trends and historical data to forecast future needs
- Conduct operational reviews and assessments of fiscal matters to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop metrics for qualitative and quantitative data, utilizing cost-benefit analysis and other statistical methods
- Support the Project Manager in tracking and reporting finances related to capital programs and SPLOST-funded projects
- Report on departmental performance metrics and establish data collection systems
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on departmental finances, including revenues and expenditures
- Facilitate financial communication within the department and with other departments, providing administrative support
- Oversee software programs for public registration and fiscal operations, providing training and resolving issues
- Assist staff in ensuring compliance with contract requirements and performance reporting for partner agencies
- Evaluate revenue streams from fees, grants, and donations, recommending adjustments based on analysis
- Reconcile and report daily cash and checks received from all Leisure Services locations
