Salary$25/hour up to $45/hour, depending on experience. Eligible for a 25% annual bonus, paid the following year, based on company performance and individual contribution.

Job SummaryThis position is responsible for repairing a wide variety of transformers and switch gear at the company facility in Commerce City, CO, or at customer sites. The role requires hands-on technical skills, attention to safety, and the ability to complete work orders and inspections with minimal supervision. Travel up to 35% may be required.
Job Responsibilities- Repair transformers and switch gear, including re-gasketing, changing bushings, and tap changers.
- Drain and fill transformers with insulating oils using pumps.
- Conduct internal and external equipment inspections and document defects.
- Perform basic electrical testing (turns ratio, insulation resistance) and check connections inside transformers.
- Prepare transformers for painting; welding or painting skills can qualify for a hybrid role.
- Operate industrial equipment like forklifts safely, following capacity and load limits.
- Follow environmental and safety specifications, including OSHA guidelines.
- Complete work orders on time and report issues promptly.
- Work in harsh climates, including heat, cold, and outdoor conditions.
- Drive company trucks and trailers as needed and travel for work assignments.
- High School Diploma/GED required. 2+ years of shop/manufacturing or related experience. Valid driver’s license. Basic electrical knowledge or ability to learn quickly; experience with transformers is a plus. Strong communication skills for interacting with internal and external customers. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Forklift certification preferred. First Aid/CPR, AED, and OSHA 10 training preferred.
