• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Ensure at least five items per bag and avoid damage.
• Use best practices for bagging in reusable, plastic, and paper bags.
• Assist customers in removing merchandise from bas carts.
• Offer help loading bags into vehicles.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bas carts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect and pick up trash inside store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures and identifying unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues and notifying management.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying appropriate department or manager of items needing repair.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines.
• A work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
