Position: School Occuaptional Therapist (OT) Opportunity | Commerce City, CO

Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Occupational Therapist (CDE Required)

Location:

Commerce City, CO

Pay: $45 $ 55 per hour (based on experience)

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists for school-based positions in the Commerce City, CO area. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students educational and developmental success while working within a supportive team environment. Renewals for the following school year may be available based on performance.

Requirements:

Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to apply, including:

  • Masters Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

  • Active Colorado Occupational Therapist license issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)

  • Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services Provider (SSP) License required for school-based practice

  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks, as required by the district

  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

As a school-based Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Provide therapy services to students addressing fine motor, sensory processing, and functional daily living skills

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments, documenting progress in compliance with state and district requirements

  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise to support student growth and access to education

  • Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and classroom strategies to promote independence and inclusion
