**** Automation Engineering Manager
**** Job Summary
** This position will be fully remote, but the candidate must be willing to travel as needed up to 75% or more of the time.  This position is a UPS Customer Solutions position responsible for working with vendors to scope, design, and implement warehouse automation solutions within shipping and distribution facilities for UPS customer facilities. She/he collaborates with warehouse engineers on conceptual Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and automation designs, then works with various vendors to move the conceptual design to a proposal.

Finally, the incumbent works with the selected vendor to implement the design within the customer’s facility.

** Responsibilities:
*** Collaborates with warehouse engineers on conceptual designs
* Works closely with customers and vendors to finalize system design
* Works closely with UPS sales resources to present proposals to customers and obtain a signature on Statement of Work (SOW)
* Selects appropriate vendor based on capabilities and other selection criteria
* Works with selected vendor to transform conceptual designs into a customer proposal
* Manages the implementation of the design within the customer facility
* Oversees vendors and timelines with the assistance of the assigned project manager
* Responsible for holding vendors accountable to the statement of work for each respective project
* Responsible for the overall success of the project from end to end
* Potential for extensive travel up to 75% or more

* Qualifications:

*** Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent
* Experience implementing logistics and technology-based solutions
* Experience implementing warehouse automation systems
* Experience with AutoCAD
* Experience working with vendors
** Compensation:
** Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,440/year to $158,340/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
