Safety Coordinator to help strengthen our culture of safety and support field operations across all levels of the company.
The
Safety Coordinator assists in planning, coordinating, and implementing Suntec’s safety program. This role works closely with
field teams, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and to promote continuous safety awareness, training, and improvement.
- Support and enforce Suntec’s safety policies and procedures across multiple project sites
- Stay current on
federal, state, and local safety regulations and communicate updates to project teams - Investigate and document incidents and near‐misses; recommend preventive actions
- Track and maintain safety certifications, training records, and compliance documentation
- Conduct job site inspections, equipment checks, and risk assessments to identify and correct hazards
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and assist in developing job hazard analyses
- Build strong working relationships with
OSHA and assist in interpreting regulations - Analyze safety data to identify trends and suggest process improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned by the
Safety Manager or
Safety Director
- 1–3 years of construction safety experience required
- Knowledge of
OSHA standards, risk management, and construction safety practices - Strong communication, organization, and training skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to influence and coach field teams effectively
- Valid
driver’s license
; must pass physical and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR – Preferred upon hire; required within6 months
- OSHA 500 / 510 – Beneficial and required for promotion opportunities
