The successful candidate will process hundreds of purchase orders monthly while maintaining accuracy and meeting strict project timelines. This fast-paced role requires strong analytical skills, excellent vendor relationship management, and the ability to navigate complex ERP systems while juggling multiple priorities across cross‑functional teams.

Working in a collaborative environment with over thirty internal stakeholders, this individual will serve as a key liaison ensuring materials and services are procured efficiently to support critical infrastructure projects.

• Create, manage, and process Purchase Requisition s and Purchase Orders in SAP system
• Clear purchase order backlogs and maintain data accuracy across all procurement records
• Obtain vendor quotes, conduct price negotiations, and perform reconciliation activities
• Support project deliverables aligned with engineering specifications and construction schedules
• Generate and analyze procurement reports using Excel, SharePoint, and Power BI
• Coordinate procurement activities with engineering teams, project managers, storekeepers, accounts payable, and receiving departments
• Participate in cross‑functional team meetings and communicate project status updates
• Manage vendor relationships across a portfolio of approximately thirty suppliers
• Process between eight hundred and one thousand purchase orders within six‑month cycles
• Handle five thousand to six thousand line items while maintaining quality and timeliness standards

• SAP or comparable ERP system proficiency
• Advanced Excel skills with emphasis on VLOOKUP and data analysis functions
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Vendor quoting and negotiation expertise
• Exceptional time management and prioritization capabilities

• Minimum three years of experience as a Planner Buyer, Buyer I, or Buyer II
• Demonstrated project‑based purchasing experience in engineering, construction, or industrial environments
• Background in high‑volume purchase order processing
• Industrial purchasing experience strongly preferred

• Energy or utilities industry experience preferred
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus
• Professional procurement certifications valued
• Experience purchasing materials tied to engineering designs highly desirable
