Job Overview:

In this role, the successful candidate will assist the RN in the care of patients and families by completing assigned patient care tasks, in accordance with the NYS LPN scope of practice and NYULH policy. The FGP LPN will provide competent, safe, and compassionate care, with an emphasis on understanding the challenges faced by patients undergoing health maintenance, illness, hospitalization, procedures, or diagnostic testing.

Responsibilities include checking vital signs, recording medical histories, and utilizing specialized skills such as phlebotomy, point-of-care testing via finger stick (with certification), and electrocardiograms.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Graduate of an LPN program with current NYS OP LPN licensure and registration.

- Ability to efficiently complete multiple tasks and thrive in a team environment, aiming for a positive patient care experience.

- Physical stamina, manual dexterity, and visual and auditory acuity are required to perform responsibilities effectively.

Required Licenses: LPN

Preferred Qualifications:

- BLS certification is preferred.

Qualified candidates must communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
