We are looking for someone with the vision and drive to lead this historic institution into its next chapter, ensuring our National Outdoor Centre remains relevant and accessible to the diverse community of outdoor adventurers today.

We re looking for an inspiring and dynamic leader with a genuine passion for the outdoors, ideally grounded in personal experience of outdoor activities or excellence in a sporting field. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining and promoting a positive safety culture, alongside a proven ability to lead and sustain organisational change that empowers people and drives performance.

You will have a track record of developing high-performing senior teams to deliver both strategic vision and operational excellence, while championing diversity and inclusion and widening participation for a broad and diverse audience. We re looking for someone who can motivate and unite teams, foster collaboration, and build strong, trusted relationships across a wide range of organisations. Strong commercial insight is essential, with experience in business development within a customer-focused environment and the ability to build productive partnerships with companies and individual consumers.

This role also requires confidence in managing substantial budgets and working effectively with accountants and auditors to ensure robust financial governance and sustainable success.
