- This position is primarily in person, with no remote work capabilities.
Under general supervision, the Preventive Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for organizing and overseeing all preventive maintenance activities across the Company’s fleet and heavy equipment. This person should consistently demonstrate Integrity, Gratitude, Excellence, and Leadership.
Responsibilities- Sets up preventative maintenance schedules for all new equipment, including fluid capacities, oils, and service intervals
- Creates work orders and monitors upcoming service needs
- Dispatches lubrication technicians and coordinates service timing
- Enters, tracks, and monitors oil sample results, ensuring timely review and corrective actions as necessary
- Tracks undercarriage life and inspection intervals, creating reports to summarize condition and projected lifespan
- Schedules undercarriage inspections and works with Product Support Representatives (PSRs) on undercarriage issues
- Tracks off-the-road (OTR) tire inventory and performance
- Records tire data in company software and ensures tire matching and compatibility
Coordinates with external service vendors for off-site pickup truck services - Works with oil vendors to confirm correct products, ensure accurate pricing, and maintain adequate supply
- Collaborates with the Shop Supervisor and PSRs on equipment inspection requirements as needed
- Monitors and schedules crane and coupler inspections to maintain compliance
- Prepares and maintains maintenance-related documentation and reports
- Knows and adheres to all Company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of preventative maintenance processes for heavy equipment and fleet vehicles; knowledge of oil sampling programs, tire management, and undercarriage systems; ability to read and interpret service manuals and equipment documentation; ability to organize, track, and report maintenance data accurately; skilled at scheduling and coordinating multiple service activities; ability to communicate effectively with vendors, technicians, and internal staff; ability to use maintenance management or fleet tracking software;
ability to work independently and in a team environment; ability to analyze data and recommend improvements to maintenance processes
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in equipment maintenance coordination, fleet management, or similar role is preferred
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. (George J. Igel & Co., Inc. is a SUPR Drug-Free Workplace and tests for marijuana)
- Must maintain an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) that meets the Company’s eligibility
