Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Intermodal Dispatcher based in Columbus, OH. The Intermodal Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling shipments, managing driver assignments, maintaining timely communication with customers and drivers, and ensuring on-time deliveries. Additional responsibilities include monitoring operations to resolve logistical challenges, updating transportation management systems, and adhering to safety and compliance regulations. The dispatcher will work closely with the operations and logistics teams to optimize schedules and improve process efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation management, logistics coordination, and dispatching processes
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with drivers, customers, and team members
• Proficiency in transportation management software and basic computer skills
• Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts or delays in a professional manner
• Familiarity with intermodal operations, regulatory compliance, and safety procedures is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing schedules or priorities
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in logistics, transportation, or related fields is a plus
