• Van Drivers daily schedule based on the school calendar.
• Summer School drivers bid based on seniority of Bus Drivers and then Van Drivers.
• Attend Annual In-Service Training Program; paid regular hourly rate.
• Receive ½ hour pre‑trip for refueling and cleaning in addition to route time.
• Paid hourly rate if child no‑show or late cancel.
• If willing to obtain CDL, district will pay cost.
• Run a practice route; notify parents approximate pickup/drop‑off no later than the Wednesday before school starts; parent adjustments within 48 hrs if student changes.
• Be certified by a van driver trainer; receive new certificate every six years.
• Upon certification, paid substitute pay rate per hour up to four hours for classroom and behind‑the‑wheel evaluation.
• Subject to all agreed benefits in the Buckeye Valley OAPSE Classified Contract.
• All trips offered first to full‑time bus drivers, then full‑time Van Drivers I, then Van Drivers II if needed.
• In August, Route Bids based on seniority starting with Van Driver I then I II.
• Mid‑day routes/trips offered first to full‑time bus drivers, then to Van Drivers I, then I II.
• Recognized as personnel in Article 1.01 of our CBA contract.

• Valid CDL required for Van Driver I; for Van Driver II CDL not required.
• Willingness to obtain CDL (if applicable).
• Completion of Annual In‑Service Training per Section 3301.83‑010.
• Ability to attend a practice run and comply with scheduling and parent communication.

• Van Driver I – contracted van driver who also holds a valid CDL to drive a school bus and who is assigned to drive a school bus as‑needed.
• Van Driver II – contracted van driver who only drives vans.

• Van Driver I – Paid at current sub bus driver rate of pay, 25‑26: $20 an hour.
