Java Engineering Lead; Client-Facing​/Hands

• Lead the design and migration of legacy applications to a Java, cloud‑based microservices architecture
• Act as the primary technical liaison with clients, gathering requirements and presenting architectural designs
• Mentor a team of developers in Java frameworks and best practices, ensuring code quality through reviews and testing
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with infrastructure teams on container orchestration
• Research and recommend tools and best practices to improve productivity and user experience

• US citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a technical lead or architect role
• Proven experience migrating enterprise applications to cloud‑based Java microservices
• 1+ years of experience integrating LLMs via APIs into production systems

• Certifications:
  
  CompTIA Security+ CE required on day one; AWS Solutions Architect is preferred
• Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with Dev Ops tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Strong communication skills and experience leading cross‑functional teams
• Passion for mentoring and guiding junior developers
