Senior Software Engineer
Liberty Mutual Insurance invites you to apply for the Senior Software Engineer role.
We offer a hybrid model: 2 days onsite with the flexibility to work remotely. Locations:
Portsmouth, NH;
Boston, MA;
Plano, TX;
Indianapolis, IN;
Columbus, OH.
Base pay range: $106,000 - $197,000 per year (actual pay based on experience and skills).
Responsibilities- Collaborate with business colleagues and customers to address technical challenges through test‑ and behavior‑driven development.
- Innovate creative solutions to complex problems.
- Keep the end‑user front and center in all development work.
- Proactively improve performance, quality, and efficiency.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, or XP).
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
- Deep understanding of technology concepts, business operations, design tools, system architecture, and technical standards.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and Dev Ops tools.
- Proven success delivering large‑scale, multi‑team projects.
- Proven ability to mentor and coach junior engineers.
- Proficiency with Type Script, React, Node.js, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, SQL, Spring Boot, Git Hub Actions.
- Performance optimization: identify and resolve bottlenecks; develop and optimize SQL queries for SAP HANA DB and other sources (Oracle, MySQL, Postgre
SQL). - Security best practices: knowledge of web vulnerabilities and secure coding practices.
- Design and develop Power BI datasets, reports, dashboards, semantic models, DAX measures, and row‑level security.
- Utilize Power BI Desktop to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance reports and dashboards.
- Apply best practices and development standards in Power BI projects.
