Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, Senior Developer

Agility Partners is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join a leading healthcare technology company that improves patient experience by connecting payers, providers, and pharmacies through an integrated network. This role focuses on the Telepharm product—a web and mobile platform enabling customers to virtually engage with pharmacists. As a Staff Engineer, you’ll provide technical leadership, drive architectural decisions, and own feature development across web and mobile applications in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

• Provide technical leadership and guide strategic product direction for the Telepharm platform
• Develop and maintain full‑stack applications with high coding standards
• Lead architectural decisions and offer thought leadership on complex technical challenges
• Mentor and coach junior and mid‑level engineers in best practices and development methodologies
• Build and enhance features for web, mobile, and video‑enabled applications
• Champion paired programming sessions and Agile engineering practices
• Lead test‑driven development and conduct comprehensive unit testing (no dedicated QA team)
• Collaborate closely with Product Teams to shape the roadmap and deliver customer‑focused solutions
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Take full ownership of product features from conception through deployment
• Create system diagrams and maintain technical documentation
• Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders
• Drive innovation and influence team decisions

• Must be local to Columbus, OH and willing to work onsite 3 days per week (Mon/Tue/Thu) — non‑negotiable
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a preference for backend development
• Proven track record of technical leadership at a senior or staff level
• Strong proficiency in Java for backend development (Node.js experience is also acceptable)
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks:
  React, Angular, or Vue
• Solid database experience with Postgre

• Experience with test‑driven development and unit testing
• Background in paired programming environments
• Demonstrated experience mentoring and coaching other engineers
• Strong collaboration skills with Product Teams and ability to shape product direction
• iOS mobile development experience (Swift or general iOS development)
• Experience with camera/video functionality in mobile applications
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred, but any cloud platform accepted)
• Microservices development experience (Spring Boot knowledge is a plus)
