Job Title: HVAC Technician (1099 Independent Contractor)
Location: Columbus, OH 43215 (Service Area: 50-mile radius)

We are actively seeking skilled and reliable HVAC Technicians to join our network as 1099 independent contractors in the Columbus, OH (43215) area.

This role is ideal for multi-skilled technicians who can diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems. Contractors enjoy flexible scheduling, consistent job flow, and strong earning potential.

Technicians must be able to service a 50-mile radius around Columbus
, covering surrounding suburbs and rural areas. Local candidates are preferred; however, technicians willing to travel within the service area are also encouraged to apply.

Candidates who hold EPA 608 Certification and/or state HVAC licenses will receive priority consideration.

Diagnose, repair, and service residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers, condensers, and mini-split systems.

Perform HVAC installations, replacements, upgrades, and seasonal maintenance.

Troubleshoot electrical, airflow, refrigerant, and mechanical issues.

Complete work orders accurately and on time.

Follow all safety protocols, building codes, and company procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at each job site.

Communicate professionally with customers regarding findings, repairs, and service recommendations.

Provide your own tools, diagnostic equipment, and service vehicle.

Maintain general liability insurance (assistance can be provided if needed).

• Proven experience as an HVAC technician or multi-trade service professional
• Strong technical knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• EPA 608 Certification (required for HVAC work)
• State HVAC license (preferred)
• Ability to accurately diagnose and resolve system issues
• Excellent time management, troubleshooting, and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle capable of covering a 50-mile radius from Columbus
• Ownership of professional HVAC tools and equipment
• Licensed HVAC contractors strongly preferred
