Your Impact

Pearce is seeking Experienced HVAC Technicians to join our team for servicing and repairing commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on cell‑tower sites. This fast‑paced, rewarding job suits individuals who are responsible, self‑directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and eager to learn and grow in the telecom industry.

This is a regional position. Candidates should reside in the Columbus, Ohio area.

Core Responsibilities
  • Maintain cooling systems – diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, or install and replace components of entire systems.
  • Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
  • Perform additional maintenance or upgrades to out‑of‑season HVAC equipment.
  • Respond to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call‑out services.
  • Complete daily work reports accurately and promptly.
  • Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally, in accordance with the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.

Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

Core Experience
  • Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
  • Three or more years of HVAC maintenance experience (commercial preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including refrigeration systems, is preferred.
  • Must communicate effectively both verbally and via email.
Physical/Work Environment

At Pearce, safety is our number one concern. Candidates must comply with OSHAFCC/FAA/EPA standards.

  • Candidates should reside in the Columbus, Ohio area.
  • Must be available for after‑hours and weekend call‑outs on occasion.
  • Extensive daily travel in an independent work structure.
  • Occasional overnights required – company pays all travel costs and provides per diem.
  • Driving to remote work sites as needed.
  • Exposure to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
  • Lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.

    Must pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). $30.00–$38.00 hourly/DOE. The pay range reflects our commitment to pay equity and compliance with state and federal pay transparency laws. In addition to wages, employees may be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem, or other applicable compensation.
