Construction Superintendent - Low Voltage Technology

We are looking for an experienced Low Voltage Construction Superintendent (CS) to join our team. The CS will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to our quality standards. Key responsibilities include safety compliance, supervising craft workers, coordinating subcontractors, scheduling, handling materials, daily reporting, quality control, and training.

Post selected skill set: 3 to 7 years of experience in low-voltage systems, including managing installations of communications systems, outside/inside plant cabling, structured cabling systems. Preferred credentials: PMP or BICSI – RTPM, with additional desirable certifications like BICSI Certified Cable Installer and RCDD. Experience in security systems, audio‑visual systems, and communication systems integration is required.

Position Description

The Construction Superintendent (CS) is responsible for the safe completion of projects within budget, on schedule, to the company's quality standards, and to the customer's satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety compliance and promotion of accountability.
  • Quality control on all project work.
  • Develop and implement pre‑job plans, schedule coordination, and material handling.
  • Mobilization and daily management of Company workforce, including hiring/firing hourly personnel.
  • Develop staff (Assistant Superintendents, Coordinators, Engineers, Foremen).
  • Coordinate and schedule all subcontractors; hold weekly scheduling meetings.
  • Develop forms for special construction methods.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping and cost records; analyze labor recaps and cost controls.
  • Expedite vendors and subcontractors; ensure timely material receiving.
  • Equipment management and vendor coordination.
  • Owner relations, participation in meetings with Owner/Architect/Contractor.
  • Maintain project logs and documentation.
Physical Work Classification & Demands
  • Heavy work: up to 100 lbs of force occasionally; up to 50 lbs frequently; up to 20 lbs constantly.
  • Frequent walking, kneeling, sitting, crouching, reaching, stooping.
  • Use of computer/tablet; frequent communication; reading blueprints.
  • Climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding; balancing and stooping required.
  • Exposure to high/low temperatures, noise, and outdoor elements.
Position Qualifications
  • 3 to 7 years experience managing or overseeing installation of low voltage building systems.
  • Electrical / Low Voltage Systems experience.
  • Communications Systems Installation Supervision.
  • Outside/Inside Plant Cabling Installation Supervision.
  • Structured Cabling Systems Installation Supervision.
  • Credentials: PMP or BICSI – RTPM.
  • Desirable: BICSI Certified Cable Installer, RCDD.
  • Experience:

    Security Systems Integrator, Audio Visual Systems Integrator, Communication System Integrator.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or business; professional accreditations such as DBIA, LEED.
