We are seeking an experienced A-Level Auto Body Technician with strong mechanical skills to join our team. This role requires a highly skilled professional capable of performing complex auto body repairs, including structural and frame repairs, dent removal, and refinishing, as well as mechanical work related to collision repair. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both auto body repair and mechanical systems, ensuring vehicles are restored to pre-accident condition with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform high-quality structural and non-structural repairs on damaged vehicles, including frame straightening and welding.
* Conduct in-depth disassembly and reassembly of vehicles, ensuring all components align properly.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical issues related to collision damage, such as suspension, steering, cooling, and electrical systems.
* Remove and replace damaged panels, bumpers, fenders, doors, and other auto body parts.
* Conduct thorough inspections to assess the extent of damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
* Work with advanced tools and equipment, including MIG and TIG welders, plastic welders.
* Ensure compliance with OEM procedures, I-CAR standards, and insurance guidelines.
* Prep and refinish repaired vehicles to match original factory finishes.
* Collaborate with estimators, painters, and other technicians to maintain efficient workflow.
* Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience in Auto body repair technician, with a focus on structural repair.
* Strong mechanical skills, with experience in suspension, cooling, and electrical system repairs.
* Ability to read and interpret repair orders, blueprints, and technical documents.
* Proficiency in using frame machines, welding tools, and diagnostic equipment.
* ASE and/or I-CAR Platinum certification (preferred but not required).
* Familiarity with CCC ONE or similar estimating software is a plus.
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
