We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Electrical Service Technician to join our growing team and help provide excellent service to our clients.
Job DescriptionAs a Commercial Electrical Service Technician at Gibson Electrical LLC, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. You will help ensure electrical systems function safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of commercial electrical systems, prior service experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for outstanding client service.
Responsibilities- Perform electrical installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance for commercial clients.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in commercial systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical panels, lighting systems, outlets, switches, and other electrical components.
- Ensure all work is compliant with local codes, regulations, and company standards.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication with clients, explaining work performed and offering solutions to electrical problems.
- Complete and maintain accurate service reports, timesheets, and other necessary documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with electrical codes, technology, and industry best practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED);
Electrical Apprenticeship or Certification is a plus. - Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrical technician, with a focus on commercial service work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various physical conditions.
- Must be available for on-call shifts as needed.
