• Install new garage doors for residential customers
• Remove existing door and mechanical parts
• Replace worn or broken door parts using tools
• Assemble mechanical parts
• Install springs, sections, slats, and hardware
• Run wiring to connect equipment
• Lubricate and test mechanical parts for proper functioning
• Educate customers on upgraded parts and services and ensure satisfaction
• Document activities related to installations

• Be nice! I know, we shouldn’t have to say that, but we mean it
• Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periods
• Physically able to lift 75lbs, lift garage door panels above head
• Able to stand on ladder
• Basic knowledge of hand tools (power drill, hammer, saw etc.)
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug test (not including THC) and criminal background check
• Knowledge of basic software such as navigation apps, Google etc., as well as tablet and computer use
• GED or HS diploma not required, however reading skills as well as basic math skills (measurements, payments) are required
• Professional & approachable appearance
• Employment requires current eligibility to legally work in the United States

• Our apprenticeship is a 4‑week training program at the A1 Training Academy in Phoenix, AZ.
• A1 covers flights and accommodations for the duration of your training in Phoenix. (All apprenticeship/training weeks are paid at an hourly rate of $20/hour. You will typically work 45‑50 hours a week while an apprentice, and qualify for overtime for hours over 40 in a week, so should average $1,000 a week or more.)
• Once you complete training, you will receive a $1,000 bonus, and graduate to a junior installer. You will perform your duties in and around your market.
