Field Service Technician

Job Post Description Field Service Technician Union role | Hourly Field Differential Included

We're seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team
, supporting on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of power generation equipment and related electrical systems. You'll work independently from a fully equipped service truck
, providing field support on behalf of us across the region.

• Diagnose, service, and repair diesel & gas generators (5KW-3MW)

• Work on switch gear, ATS systems, control panels
  , and electrical distribution equipment

• Perform load bank testing, commissioning
  , and preventive maintenance

• Use diagnostic tools such as ET
  , SIS
  , and other software

• Provide excellent customer service & technical support on behalf of our company

• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all safety standards

• Experience with major generator brands:
  CAT, Cummins, Generac, Kohler, Detroit Diesel

• Familiarity with switch gear brands such as Russ electric, Lakeshore, Asco

• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities

• Ability to interpret wiring schematics & control diagrams

• Military or field-based technical experience is a strong plus

• Comfortable working independently in outdoor environments

• Must provide and safely use personal mechanic's tools

• High School Diploma or GED

• Completion of a 2-year technical program in diesel or power generation technology

• 5+ years hands‑on experience repairing diesel engines, generators, or industrial equipment
