Reports to the Director of Building Services; works under the lead technician.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing service and repairs to dental equipment.
- Assisting with minor building system repairs and moving equipment/furniture.
- Assisting with the design, construction, and installation of electronic devices used on dental equipment.
- Performing various duties related to building services as directed by the supervisor.
Work schedule:
7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; may need to work evenings, weekends, and 24/7 emergency call‑in. May work at satellite facilities and training at off‑site locations.
Hiring Range: $19.28 – $25.19 per hour.
Required qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
- 100 hours training in operating electrical tools & equipment, or equivalent experience.
- Driver’s license.
Desired qualifications:
- Experience with repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical measuring meters, power‑driven shop tools, and common hand tools.
- Basic understanding of reading blueprints, plumbing, and patch/paint experience.
Additional information:
- May work at satellite facilities and training at off‑site locations.
- Subject to working conditions involving dirt, chemical fumes, electrical hazards, power equipment, and heights up to 30 ft.
- Frequent lifting of moderate to heavy objects (50+ lbs).
- Driver of a state vehicle.
