Position Highlights:
- $10k Sign-On Bonus for Lead P&C Technician
- $5k Sign-On Bonus for Assistant P&C Technician
As a Substation Protection and Control Lead Technician, you will oversee installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of substation equipment that manages electricity flow in the power grid. You will manage a P&C crew, meet schedule demands, and have knowledge of devices including digital relays, electromechanical relays, intelligent electronic devices, SDRs, DFRs, oscillographs, event recorders, RTUs, SCADA systems, and related communication equipment.
Responsibilities- Maintain safety standards with OSHA 30 Certification
- Understand zones of protection and protection schemes
- Quickly learn client-specific P&C knowledge
- Document field work and test results accurately
- Read and interpret P&C drawings and schematics
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and testing
- Develop and execute testing plans for relays and schemes
- Manage SCADA configurations and P&C communication systems
- Adhere to Lock-Out/Tag-Out policies
- Coordinate with team members to complete tasks
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally

- Associate's degree in electrical engineering or related field (preferred)
- At least 5 years of protection and control technician experience
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Knowledge of protection/control principles and relay testing
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
