, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is looking to hire a Directional Drill Locator for our Columbus, OH location. A Directional Drill Locator at Team Fishel will interpret signals from underground transmitters regarding location, angle, temperature, and other factors for the drill operator, who operates the drill.
This role involves assisting our new business projects within our Telecom Construction division. It offers a great opportunity to be part of a team that maintains Team Fishel as a leader in the utility construction industry in Central Ohio as it grows.
Responsibilities- Assist in all locating aspects of the project as directed by the Drill Operator
- Perform physically demanding construction duties
- Assist crew members in placing underground pipes and conduits, manual labor, shovel work, and operate power tools
- Gain some experience operating drilling machinery
- Work as part of a crew
- Previous underground utility experience
- Ability to follow instructions
- Good manual dexterity and machine-controlling skills
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig, and reach
- Ability to lift, carry, and place heavy objects
- Valid Class A CDL Driver's license preferred
Bilingual experience is a plus
