Engine Technician; Columbus, OH

Are you a hands‑on personality that likes working on diesel engines? Your career is waiting for you at Vander Haag’s! We have an opening for a full‑time Engine Technician at our Columbus location. This position involves inspecting and repairing all used drivetrain components removed by our dismantling team. Tasks include inspecting and replacing rod and main bearings, and other components identified in our inspection process.

You will have your own work bay in ergonomically friendly shop stations.

• Inspect and repair used drivetrain components.
• Replace rod and main bearings.
• Follow our inspection process to identify required replacements.
• Maintain an organized, ergonomic work bay.

• Two‑year diploma or degree from a Diesel Technology Program (preferred).
• Experience with diesel drivetrain components in a shop setting (preferred).

Day‑shift hours, Monday through Friday.

$20.00 – $30.00 per hour with overtime available for hours worked beyond 40 per week. Base rate depends on qualifications and experience.
