Heavy Equipment Operator – 100% Travel (Direct Hire)

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator for a direct hire opportunity requiring 100% multi-state travel
. This position is ideal for an operator with strong experience across excavation, trenching, grading, and site development work who is comfortable working on diverse projects in multiple environments. Candidates may be based in the Midwest or surrounding regions, as long as they can commit to full-time travel.

• Safely operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and skid steers
  .

• Perform grading, trenching, soil excavation/removal, and site development work.

• Support environmental and remedial construction projects including UST removals, system installations, site capping, and demolition
  .

• Assist with deep underground utility installation and related project work.

• Conduct equipment inspections, perform routine preventative maintenance, and report repairs as needed.

• Travel nationwide to project sites, working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing physically demanding tasks.

• Provide support for field activities when equipment is not in operation, such as moving materials, saw cutting, or working with concrete.

• Maintain accurate daily records of hours, activities, and expenses.

• Follow OSHA and company safety standards, wearing appropriate PPE (including Level C with respirator when required).

• 7–10 years of construction experience operating earthmoving equipment required.

• Proven experience with excavators, dozers, and trenching
  .

• Background with environmental projects and deep underground utility installation preferred
  .

• OSHA HAZWOPER (40-hour) certification recommended.

• Ability to lift 50–100 lbs, work outdoors in varying conditions, and travel full-time.

• Must be comfortable with 100% nationwide travel
  ; candidates from the Midwest will be considered given travel requirements.
