** Security Officer - Foot Rounds Patrol

** Columbus, OH** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to calls for service, document observations, and provide professional customer service to staff and visitors.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel as required.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.

+ Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor direction and/or inquiries, and report suspicious activity according to site guidelines.

+ Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate observations during shift handoff and/or via radio or phone.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

+ Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

+ Customer Service Experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
