Energy Theft Field Investigator
Duration: 10 Months
Looking for prior investigation or utility theft experience
Looking for experience in onsite inspections of energy theft
Looking for prior police or security experience.
Theft experience in the Power/oil/gas industry.
ResponsibilitiesFollowing are the duties of the Energy Investigators provided by Client:
Follow-up on reports of energy theft reported by field personnel.
Investigative reports of energy theft reported via hotline or CSRs.
Investigative reports of active fraud, identity theft.
Provide assistance with local, state, and federal police agencies.
Make contact with customers in questioned cases.
Maintain liaison contacts with welfare and social assistance departments.
Maintain liaison contact with other utility teams across Client.
Prepare and maintain reports and files referencing theft and fraud cases.
Present repeated offended cases to local prosecutors and police for prosecution.
Identify cases of energy theft through onsite inspections.
Coordinate field activities to suppress energy theft.
Assist other Client departments as needed, including operations and security.
Identify owners of property for proper billing.
Identify persons who have outstanding balances owed to the company.
Stay familiar with Client policies and procedures.
Maintain liaisons with local inspectors, reporting violations as observed.
Make required notations in customer database and computer programs.
Answer questions from the public, CSRs, field personnel.
Provide billing department with appropriate charges referencing investigations.
QualificationsAt least 2 years prior investigator or utility theft experience
Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook
