Overview
Job Description
Key responsibilities of Safety and Security Operations Center Coordinator include, but are not limited to the following:
Monitor security cameras, access control systems, alarms, call boxes, and other safety technology from the Security Operations Center.
Serve as the primary communication lead for campus security needs via radio, intercom, and written communication.
Dispatch and manage radio communication, ensuring timely and clear coordination across campus.
Review, document, and track all security incident reports; ensure accurate logging and dissemination to appropriate staff.
Activate emergency notification systems and coordinate communication with law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services as needed.
Serve as a liaison and emergency point of contact for public safety agencies and campus stakeholders during incidents.
Screen vendors, visitors, and packages in alignment with campus safety protocols.
Manage building access, including key control and issuance for staff and approved vendors.
Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and data entry related to security operations.
Provide on-site support during safety and security incidents as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support campus safety and operations.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to multitask and thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced, start-up environment while driving toward clarity and solutions.
Proficiency with security technology and standard office equipment required.
Ability to adapt quickly to emergencies and shifting priorities.
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to navigate unfamiliar situations, solve practical problems, complete routine documentation, maintain accurate records, and engage professionally with the public.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
