Part-Time OPOTA Certified Armed Flex Security Guard- Columbus, OH

Overview

Premier Protective Security (PPS) is seeking an OPOTA Certified Armed Security Officer for our Columbus, OH location. Pay: $20 per hour (plus overtime where applicable). Job Type: Part-time.

• The Security Officer maintains a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring premises, including patrolling a variety of locations and responding to incidents as required.
• Enforce regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers as needed.
• Remain vigilant and attentive to potential risks or incidents on the premises.
• Carry out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.

• Must be OPOTA Certified Armed Security Officer (State of Ohio) and 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must have a personal firearm to carry on the job.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience (experience required only for armed roles).
• A background investigation will be conducted in accordance with all applicable laws; PPS will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with those laws.
• Drug screening will be conducted as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Experience:
  
  Customer service – 1 year (required).
• Armed OPOTA Certification (State of Ohio) required.
