Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer – Government Patrol Monitor in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a government location, help deter security‑related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will conduct regular patrols, respond to situations as needed, and provide outstanding customer service and communication.

- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, security‑related hazards, or maintenance concerns during patrols.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and/or visitors as needed.
- Follow all Allied Universal and site‑specific protocols while maintaining a visible presence to help deter unwanted behavior.
- Computer or tablet proficiency is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Background investigation required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment per state/local laws and regulations.
- A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
